Kim Jongwoon more popularly known as Yesung is a member of the k-pop boy group Super Junior formed by SM Entertainment. He is one of the main vocalists of the group. Yesung made his official debut on November 6, 2005. Super Junior was originally planned to be a project group but because of their success, SM Entertainment abolished the original plan and made it into a permanent group in 2006. Their debut name changed from Super Junior 05 to Super Junior. Super Junior had consecutive successful releases, From albums “U,” “Sorry Sorry,” Don’t Don,” and more. In 2006, Super Junior officially launched their first-ever subunit Super Junior KRY. Yesung is the “Y” in Super Junior KRY. They are the ballad unit of the group. In 2007, Yesung together with other Super Junior members made their acting debut through their film “Attack on the Pin-Up Boys.” Yesung is active not only as a Super Junior member but also as a musical actor, OST singer, MC, radio show host, and more. In June 2008, Yesung also became a member of another Super Junior subgroup called Super Junior-H (Happy). In 2009, Super Junior became more famous not only in Korea but also in different countries. Their song Sorry Sorry became an anthem in Korea and was loved by different countries around the world.. Because of this, they are labeled as the King of the Hallyu Wave. In 2010, Yesung officially got his first solo hit after participating in the OST of the hit drama Cinderella’s Sister. In April 2016, Yesung made his solo debut with the album Here I Am. Yesung has also starred in several musicals, dramas, and movies. Some of them are “Awl,” “Voice,” “My Korean Teacher,” and more. Super Junior has already 600 tracks under their name. Some of the famous songs from the group are “Sorry Sorry,” “Mr.Simple,” “U,” “Bonamana,” and many more. In February 2022, Super Junior released their special single album titled The Road: Winter for Spring with the title track “Callin.” In April 2022, Yesung’s movie The Girl on a Bulldozer was released.
