Yoo Yeonjung is a member of the k-pop girl group Cosmic Girls from Starship Entertainment. She is the main vocal of the group. Before Yeonjung became a Cosmic Girl member, she was first introduced as a Starship trainee on the survival program Produce 101. In May 2016, Yeonjung became the 11th placer out of 101 trainees. She became part of the project group I.O.I and also became the main vocalist. After actively promoting, I.O.I officially disbanded in 2017. Although Yeonjung is active as an I.O.I member, she also made her official debut as part of Starship Entertainment’s girl group named Cosmic Girls. She joined the 12 members on August 17, 2016. The group first debuted in February 2016 and Yeonjung was added. Just like other groups that were formed from Produce 101, Cosmic Girls also got decent results in charts and sales. After several years, only Cosmic Girls didn’t disband from the groups that came from Produce 101. Aside from being active as a member of Cosmic Girls, Yeonjung also had several solo activities. She participated in several drama OSTs. In 2019, Yeonjung also made her acting debut through the hit drama A Korean Odyssey. She made a special appearance in the drama. In the same year, Yeonjung participated in the program V-1 and won the competition. Some of the popular songs from Cosmic Girls are “I Wish,” “Dreams Come True,” “Save Me Save You,” “As You Wish,” and more. In 2022, Yeonjung made her musical debut.
