Woozi

Lee Jihoon more popularly known as Woozi is a member of the South Korea k-pop boy group Seventeen. The group was formed by Pledis Entertainment. He is the mastermind behind several Seventeen albums. He is also the lead vocalist of the group. Before Woozi became an official Seventeen member, he first starred in several music videos of his seniors from Pledis Entertainment. He also joined the online streaming shows produced by Pledis Entertainment. On May 26, 2015, Woozi officially got introduced as a Seventeen member. Their group released their debut song Adore You. Ever since its debut, Woozi has already taken over producing songs for the group. Woozi together with Bumzu made 80% of the discography of Seventeen. In 2016, Seventeen even became more famous after their songs, Pretty U and Very Nice. Since then, their career skyrocketed, and became who they are today. Seventeen is now considered one of the biggest k-pop boy groups of all time. Aside from being famous in Korea, the group is also recognized worldwide. They sold-out concerts in different parts of the world. Even their career in Japan is also doing well. SEVENTEEN is popular for the songs Pretty U, Very Nice, Don’t Wanna Cry, Mansae, Clap, BoomBoom, and more. Since its debut, SEVENTEEN has sold over 5 million physical album copies. In 2016, Woozi also ventured into composing for other artists aside from Seventeen. He first wrote a song together with Ailee and Eric Nam. In 2017, Woozi lend his talent and wrote the hit track Downpour for I.O.I. In the same year, he gifted his labelmate, senior, and real friend NUEST Baekho a song. Since then, he has written songs for several artists. Aside from being the producer of Seventeen, Woozi also participated in drama OSTs. His first solo OST was in 2019 for the drama The Tale of Nokdu. In 2021, Woozi won the Best Producer at the 6th Asia Artist Awards. He is the youngest winner of all time of the award-giving body. In January 2022, Woozi released his first mixtape titled Ruby. SEVENTEEN will make a comeback in May 2022.
