Song Mino, born Song Min-ho on March 30, 1993, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, producer, and painter who rose to prominence as a member of the YG Entertainment boy group WINNER. Beginning his career in the underground hip-hop scene as early as 2010, Mino first gained recognition through his participation in survival reality shows including WIN: Who Is Next (2013) and Show Me The Money 4 (2015), where he finished as runner-up and became known for his distinctive deep voice and charismatic stage presence. As a solo artist, Mino debuted in 2016 with the single 'Body' and has since established himself as one of Korea's most versatile artists, seamlessly blending hip-hop, R&B, and experimental sounds. His first full-length album 'XX' (2018) showcased his artistic range, featuring the hit single 'Fiancé' which topped Korean music charts. Beyond music, Mino has expanded his creative portfolio into visual arts, holding successful art exhibitions under his artist name OHNIM, and becoming a regular cast member on variety shows like New Journey to the West and Kang's Kitchen. Mino's impact on Korean hip-hop culture extends beyond commercial success, as he's credited with helping bridge the gap between underground and mainstream rap in Korea. His fearless approach to fashion and art has made him a style icon among younger generations, while his collaborations with artists across genres have solidified his reputation as a boundary-pushing creative force. With multiple awards including Mnet Asian Music Awards and his consistent chart performance both as a solo artist and with WINNER, Mino continues to be one of the most influential figures in contemporary Korean music.
