Monsta X is the second k-pop boy group formed by Starship Entertainment. It started with seven members such as Minhyuk, Shownu, I.M., Changkyun, Hyungwon, Kihyun, and Wonho. In October 2019, Wonho officially left the group due to controversies surrounding him. Before the group became Monsta X, the members and other Starship Entertainment trainees competed in a survival program called No Mercy. In the end, only seven members were picked to debut in the agency’s latest group. On May 14, 2015, the seven members of Monsta X made their debut with their first album titled “Tresspass.” Since its debut, Monsta X already gained fame. The group already got fans not only in Korea but also internationally. Their Korean debut was a success and they even got to debut in Japan. With their success, Monsta X also held several solo concerts and world tours. The group also partnered with several top stars such as Steve Aoki, French Montana, Will.I.Am, Snoop Dog, and more. Monsta X has dropped over 19 physical albums in Korea and Japan. The group has already sold over 3 million copies since its debut. Some of the hit tracks from Monsta X are Beautiful, Jealousy, Dramarama, Shoot Out, and more. Monsta X has been active both in music and variety shows. On April 26, 2022, Monsta X will release their album Shape of Love with the title track Love. The group will also kick off their US tour in May and June.
