Park Jihyo is a member of the k-pop girl group named TWICE formed by JYP Entertainment. She is the leader and the main vocalist of the group. She is part of the third girl group that JYP has formed. She became a trainee in JYP Entertainment when she was only 8 years old. She trained in the company for 10 years before she made her debut. She was also part of Innisfree’s ad together with boy group BOYFRIEND when she was still a trainee. Before Jihyo became a member and leader of TWICE, she was first introduced as a JYP trainee and competed in the survival program Sixteen handled by JYP Entertainment. She was one of the top 9 and eventually became a member of TWICE. TWICE made its official debut on October 20, 2015. The group released the song “Like Ooh Ahh.” They had decent results after their debut. What made TWICE more popular is the iconic song “Cheer Up.” Since then, most of the songs released by the group became hits. TWICE also became one of the top Korean girl groups of all time. TWICE has been recognized by different award-giving bodies in Korea and abroad. They are also immensely popular in Japan. TWICE is also the titleholder of the highest-selling girl group in South Korea with over 7 million albums sold. TWICE songs that are popularly known are “Cheer Up,” “Likey,” “What Is Love,” “TT,” and many more. TWICE is the group that is most likely promoted as a group. It’s a rare sight that a TWICE member promotes individually. In 2022, TWICE officially had their US Concert (7 shows in 5 arenas) with over 100,000 tickets sold. In March 2022, Jihyo released her first-ever OST for a drama. She lends her voice to the series Twenty FIve Twenty One. Jihyo is under the management of JYP Entertainment.
