iKON
iKON is a k-pop boy group formed by YG Entertainment. The group started with seven members such as Bobby, Song, Jay, DK, June, Chan, and B.I. In June 2019, leader B.I. decided to leave the group. iKON is currently active with 6 members. Before iKON was formed, members were first introduced as YG Entertainment trainees. They first appeared in the survival show WIN: Who Is Next. The members were teamed together and got called as Team B. They competed with Team A that eventually won the show and got called Winner. Even though Team B didn’t win, they already have a decent fandom. After almost a year, Team B was confirmed to debut. Team B became the group iKON. iKON made its official debut on September 15, 2015. They released their track “My Type.” The debut was a success and the song My Type dominated several Korean music charts. They also received a triple crown on the Gaon chart. Since then, iKON became one of the most successful k-pop groups of their generation. Almost all of the songs released by iKON became hits. Their albums got big sales and their concerts in Korea and around the globe are always jam-packed. In 2018, iKON’s track “Love Scenario” became the anthem of Korea. Especially with the kids. Everyone knew the song. The track also stayed on top of the Korean charts for several weeks. iKON is known for its songs My Type, Rhythm Ta, Killing Me, Dumb and Dumber, Love Scenario, and more. In 2020, iKON also joined the program Kingdom: Legendary War together with other four k-pop boy groups.
