DAY6

DAY6 is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment. The group started with 6 members such as Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon, Jae, and Junhyeok. Junhyeok left in 2016 while Jae left in 2021. Before the members became labeled as DAY6, some of the members first started out as 5LIVE. Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Junhyeok, and Wonpil appeared in the show Who is Next: Win as 5LIVE and they released a track. In 2015, member Dowoon was added to the group and it became labeled as DAY6. DAY6 made its official debut on September 7, 2015. They released their hit song Congratulations. The debut album also charted at No.2 on Billboard's World Album Chart. DAY6 then held solo concerts and even went overseas to promote in Taiwan and Singapore. In February 2016, JYP Entertainment announced that member Junhyeok was leaving the group due to personal reasons. DAY6 continued to promote as 5. Six months after their debut, DAY6 finally got to promote on music shows. Their first music show stage was on MCountdown and they were promoting their song Letting Go. In March 2018, DAY6 also debuted in Japan with their song "If (Mata Aetara)". In July 2019, after years of debut, DAY6 finally won in a music show. They got their first win from their song “Time of Our Life.” In August 2020, DAY6 debuted its first-ever subunit called Even of Day. The subunit consists of Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon. In April 2021, DAY6 released their last album as five members. They released the album The Book of Us: Negentropy with its lead single "You Make Me.” The group didn’t promote the album due to member Sungjin enlisting in the military. Member Sungjin is the first DAY6 member who entered the military. He started his service in March 2021. Followed by YoungK in October 2021. In December 2021, JYP Entertainment announced that Jae will no longer be part of the company and the band. He decided to leave due to personal reasons. In January 2022, Dowoon also began his military duties. In February 2022, Wonpil followed his members and also began his military enlistment. DAY6 is known for its songs You Were Beautiful, Congratulations, Time Of Our Life, Zombie, Letting Go, and more.
