ChoA is a soloist and a former member of AOA, the first girl group formed by FNC Entertainment. She was the main vocalist of the group. ChoA made her debut on July 30, 2012. The group was not as popular when it debuted. But after releasing tracks, “Miniskirt,” “Short Hair,” and “Like A Cat,” they became one of the top girl groups. 2014 was the year that AOA became more known. Since then, AOA has been active in all aspects. Specially ChoA who is one of the most famous member of AOA. ChoA was active in entertainment, singing, and musical shows. She also participated in several drama OSTs. In 2017, ChoA shocked everyone by announcing that she is leaving AOA. She decided to leave the group to focus on her health. Since then, she was on hiatus and was not seen in public. In May 2019, her contract with FNC Entertainment expired and she didn’t renew. In 2020, it was announced that ChoA is officially returning to the industry after 3 years of hiatus. She signed under the agency Great M Entertainment and appeared in different variety shows.
