Baekho
Kang Dongho also known as Baekho is a member of the first k-pop boy group NU’EST formed by Pledis Entertainment. He is the main vocal of the group. Before he became part of NU’EST, he first appeared in some of the activities of the senior group After School. He was also part of the Pledis Boys. On March 15, 2015, Kang Dongho officially got introduced as Baekho and released their debut song Face. NU’EST started with decent results but after some time, because of the lack of promotions and their company’s neglect, their popularity died down. Because of this, some NU’EST members including Baekho joined the survival program “Produce 101 Season 2.” The NU’EST members that joined the program got a lot of attention because of this. Baekho got his own fandom and many supported them. Baekho wasn’t able to join the project group from Produce 101 Season 2 but he still continued to promote as NU’EST. From 2017 until the end of 2018, Baekho together with the other 3 members of NU’EST was promoted to NU’EST W. The group became very successful and NU’EST revived its career. They were also considered one of the popular groups of their generation. In 2019, NU’EST became five once again and was promoted with several albums. Baekho also had solo gigs such as variety programs, OSTs, and more. In 2021, Baekho debuted as a musical actor. He was the main lead in the musicals Midnight Sun, Altar Boyz, and Equal. In 2022, Pledis Entertainment announced that NU’EST members will officially go on their own ways. Their contract officially expired. They released their final album and last title track “Spring, Again” on March 15, 2022. Baekho is one of the members who renewed his contract with Pledis Entertainment once again.
